- Pack carefully - make sure any valuable items are packed separately and you might feel happier transporting these yourself rather than have the removal men do this. You never know what can go missing.
- Keep pets and kids out of it - they only get under your feet, so try and leave them with a relative on the day of the move so you can concentrate on getting stuff sorted.
- Get your dates right - make sure you have all your moving dates right and write down an itinerary of the day's events so you know exactly what you're doing from the moment you wake up.
So, when moving house, everyone needs some guidance, and there are bound to be things that don't go to plan, but don't dwell on this and keep everything running as smooth as you can.
